The Panel – Round 1: Is Revenge Cheating Justified?

Everyone has been at a get together one time or another with a bunch of friends. It’s a good time, everyone is drinking, laughing, dancing and having a good time until………Someone throws out a question and chaos ensues immediately! Opinions are being thrown around the room, everyone is yelling over everyone else to get their point across and it’s a complete mess. Nonetheless, it’s always interesting to hear the differences of opinion, especially when it comes to men versus women. In a nutshell, that’s how the panel was inspired.

The Panel is a series with a mix of men and women, ages 21-35. Every week 1 to 2 questions are thrown at the panel for their input and their answers are documented and posted.

Some of the questions have been submitted, while others are chosen at random.

Feel free to provide your own insight and even comment on the answers.

Round 1: Is Revenge Cheating Justified? Submitted by “99 Problems”

“Mr. Always Right”

Is revenge cheating justified..sure. Though I don’t think I’d recommend it because it’s not going to solve the problem of why the person cheated to begin with. If I was cheated on I’d like to think I’d (1) decide whether or not this person is worth trying fix things with and if so then (2) deal with the issue and move forward. I mean I know it’s an eye for an eye out here but “an eye for an eye we both lose our sight” and two wrongs won’t make that shit right. Revenge cheating feels a little on the immature side to me. But there are a lot of immature relationships out here so, there you go.

It-is-what-it-is

“The Wild One”

REVENGE cheating is never justifiable.  Two wrongs don’t make a right. There’s too many people on that tit for tat shit – it’s horrible.  There’s too many females fucking out of spite and hurt. They run back to old flings and old boyfriends out of comfort only to look like fools. Males do the same but are only affected if they really love their woman. Fuck Cheating Be Faithful

“The Free Spirit”

As a cheater turned monogomist (whatever that means), I no longer see the point in cheating. (I know, i’m probably BSing because i’m all in love now, but fuck it) As for being justified, if someone cheats on you and you agree to stay to with them, then you’re agreeing to accept whatever mistake he/she made in the past. I can understand why someone would be hurt, but if that’s the case, you should probably talk about those issues with your spouse. Find out why they cheated and if the relationship is repairable. Stepping out of the relationship will add no value to your life and you end up hurt walking around with your head down and a wet ass.

“Unbothered & Unfiltered”

I personally wouldn’t revenge cheat because I see no point. I’m just going to drop your ass, but I can understand why someone would. My thing is if your going to revenge cheat you have to go bigger then your partner. If he stepped out on you with some random girl, fuck his brother.

“The Bachelor”

In my opinion if a relationship has escalated to the point where one is cheating the other then it becomes a battle of who walks away with power. So revenge cheating is one of the various ways to gain the upper hand over your significant other if you find he or she is cheating.

“The Flower Child”

Revenge cheating is unjustifiable. I’ve never been one to tit for tat, especially when it comes to hurting someone else. Being cheated on sucks. Its painful and it often unearths a lot of insecurities and emotions you weren’t even aware existed. I’ve always felt the energy you put out is the energy you receive. The hurt that has been inflicted upon you does not justify you projecting those feelings onto someone else- especially for the purpose of making a point or reciprocating against a wrong.   Ultimately, you’re prolonging your misery and surrounding yourself with polluted energy. Let it fall to the wayside! As difficult as it can be, let the cheater go! I’m not saying you can’t make a grand exit with a shower of F-bombs and choice words, but don’t retaliate and definitely don’t involve an innocent third party. It’s hard enough to deal with a betrayal, don’t allow your good conscience to be clouded by someone else’s deceit.

“The Sour Patch”

No, because if you want to maintain a serious relationship you must learn to forgive and move on. If you keep competing or using that as an excuse in the relationship  to do some shitty stuff then it wouldn’t last. Now if you plan to end the relationship, then by all means be single! People forget you can just be single, no cheating is not involved in that… I know right the surprise!!! If you want your relationship to grow, and get better you both must put in 100%.

I Need to Blog

After dinner at RA Sushi in Harbor East

I have this inherent love/hate relationship with blogging, like I do with most things. I love it for a while and then I fall off. Then come back and talk about how I won’t do it again…..until I do it again. The cycle continues several times, as it has done many times before and yet again, i’m brought back full circle, hungry for the same thing that I need every single time, my VOICE.

Recently, I lost a great friend and fellow blogger who extended her voice to thousands in hopes that she could spread her love for self on to others – which she did and was admired for it. I then watched on, after her passing, as her name was dragged through blogs, websites and YouTube channels while nay-Sayers created stories of their own about who she was. None of it being true. It got to the point where I was unable to read an article about her, in fear that it would be another terrible story filled with unsubstantiated claims all in the name of their sites getting a few comments or likes to stay relevant.

Another great friend of mine, Beatrice, of  HeavenlyGlow.net was also a friend to the young woman that I knew who passed. She created a beautiful post about her, and the experience of losing her and how it felt to see people latch on to her story and fill it with falsehoods about the reasons behind her passing the way that she did. That moment made me realize the importance of having a voice and the gift of being able to blog and have it be heard.

Yeah, I could have gone to twitter, but 140 characters could not contain everything that I felt. Facebook? Facebook is good, but you get lost in the sea of thousands of other peoples problems like, “What should I eat for dinner tonight” or “My boyfriend just cheated on me, I’m devastated, I loved him so much, how could he do this” or “my baby daddy aint sh…” Well, you get the point.

But a blog is free of all of that. It is a reflection of my feelings, my thoughts & my VOICE. The happiness, the pain, the tragedy, the excitement, the love, the hate, the ambition, the doubt, it’s a collection of EVERYTHING that I feel.

So, this time around, I will not make any promises. I will not say that I will never abandon it again, because it may happen. No matter what happens though, I know I will always find my way back to my voice.

MATHEMATICS Launches Never-Before-Seen #MATHMONDAYS Campaign

For starters, everyone that knows me knows that this is a SHAMELESS PLUG, considering that I am MATHEMATICS’ publicist, but, who cares, I have an outlet so why not use it, right? Besides, this could help any other publicists trying to break into entertainment PR.

For those just tuning into my blog, I am Jada, a 22 year old recent college graduate who started doing freelance entertainment publicity 7 months ago, and it has been working GREAT for me so far.

About 2 1/2 months ago, I began representing an EXTREMELY talented individual who goes by the name of MATHEMATICS. He is an independent Hip Hop artist currently based in Baltimore, MD and has been great to work with so far.

Well, on to the actual POST, MATHEMATICS recently launched a social media campaign associated with the hashtag #MATHMONDAYS, A never-before-seen social media series where he releases new visual content in the form of a music video, vlog, freestyle video, behind the scenes footage, etc. to his fans every Monday. This campaign invites fans into and through the artist’s journey to success. They will watch as business meetings are conducted, music video concepts are discussed and even see albums being produced. The best facet of this new campaign is that fans will become part of the Mathematics Music team, as their comments and opinions could potentially help dictate the direction MATHEMATICS moves on a particular topic.

Now for all of the videos so far:

Fountain of Youth/ General Beats Freestyle: Released on May 27, 2013

Day Pass Feat. Up D Music Video: Released May 20, 2013

A Beautifully Scary Controversy: THE SHOE!

Let me start off by saying that when my mom called me into her room first thing yesterday morning, I was LESS THAN pleased. She kept yelling, “you HAVE to see this, hurry up, you NEED to see this”. I somehow maneuvered myself out of bed and I was ultimately pretty glad that I did.

Leanie van der Vyver, a student from South Africa, created a pair of “Scary Beautiful” shoes as a statement. These babies are inverted, sky high heel and look IMPOSSIBLE to walk in.

A website called “Design Indaba” , a creativity based platform that aims to create a better world through art, stated that:

“Leanie van der Vyver’s Scary Beautiful shoes evoke a conversation about notions of fashion, perfection and beauty, and asks at what point do we start creating monsters.”

So, back to yesterday morning. Mom rewound a segment of one of those morning shows and this is the video that I saw. I COULD NOT stop laughing!!!!!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, ok, no seriously. The message here is certainly a strong one. The model is in pain and I do agree that it reflects the things that we go through as fashionistas to maintain trends and to upkeep our image.

I encourage everyone to visit Design Indaba for other creatively striking videos! If I find more, I will post as I go.

Beyonce’; The Courtside Chic Superwife

It is no secret that Jay-Z and Beyonce’ are one of the world’s largest and most sought out power couples. Their relationship is almost “fairytale like” with the increasingly evident amount of support that they provide to one another. I am secretly (I guess not so much anymore) a HUGE sports buff, so tonight, I watched an incredible face-off between the New York Knicks and the Brooklyn Nets (Jay-Z’s team). Even with the game being incredibly close the entire time, it was those slight moments where the camera captured Beyonce’ where my heart stopped and my adrenaline went into overdrive. I have been a Beyonce’ fan for years, so this inspired a post featuring a compilation of her amazingly chic courtside looks. She is an international superstar, style icon, and new mother, yet always finds time to remain a supportive wife. So, let’s delve into a few of her looks.

They won tonight btw 96-89

From Today’s Game:

From Other Games:

Tear, I just love their chemistry! Beyonce’ is always AMAZINGLY amazing! Later on in the week, I am planning on doing one of Beyonce’s amazing looks for less, so stay tuned loves.
